Teo scrunched his face, clenched his fists, and beads of
sweat accumulated at his forehead. “I
don’t know what is wrong with him. I fed
him. He just took a nap. I hope he is OK.” Rachel said with the concerned tone only a
mother could have.
I looked a little closer at his scrunching face and the way
he was clenching his fists. I knew
exactly what was going on. I had been
through this exercise many times. In
fact, I had done it earlier that day.
A few moments later when the scrunching of his face stopped
and his hands relaxed and his exuberant smile returned, I unwrapped his diaper
and found his first little solid terd. My man!
Rachel had started feeding him bananas and avocados, and
those new foods brought some form to his previous watery poops. It no longer flowed out as easy as
water. He now had to do a little
work.
I can relate.
He looks like his grandpa!!!
